Bharathi Tamil Academy (BTA) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization teaching Tamil in the Redmond, Washington area. BTA is affiliated to American Tamil Academy and we follow their syllabus, course curriculum and test materials.
Primary Level

Students will learn about Tamil Uyir yezhutthukkal, some songs and stories.
Mazhalai
( Age 5 and above)
Students will learn about Tamil Uyir yezhutthukkal, some songs and stories.
Level 1
( Age 6 and above)
Students will learn about Tamil Uyir, Mei yezhutthukkal, some songs and stories.
Level 2
( Age 7 and above)
Students will learn about Tamil letters, Subjects, Verbs,Sentence formation, Thirukkural
Intermediate Level
Level 3
( Age 8 and above)
Students will learn about understanding Tamil sentences, Pronouncing Tamil words, Stories, Tamil grammar.
Level 4
( Age 9 and above)
Students will learn about Tamil Reading, understanding, and writing short sentences. Antiquity of language, culture, and introduction to literature. Translating the word without error.
Level 5
( Age 10 and above)
Students will learn about Tamil reading, comprehension. Understanding of basic Tamil grammar. Translating from English to Tamil and from Tamil to English
Advanced Level
Level 6
( Age 11 and above)
Students will learn about Tamil Reading, comprehending, and writing sentences with clear pronunciation without error. Comparison of sentences, concepts, words and grammar with English.
Level 7
( Age 12 and above)
Students will learn about Tamil Learning and understanding conversational lessons located in spoken Tamil. Simple essay, letter writing. Read and understand the story and complete the missing part.
Level 8
( Age 13 and above)
Students will learn about Tamil Comparing grammar with English. Learning and understanding conversational lessons based on spoken Tamil. Simple essay, letter writing. Read and understand the story and complete the missing part
